Learning Calligraphy
The purpose of this project is to learn the basics of calligraphy,
learn to hold the pen, and to use a calligraphy marker.
If this is the first time you have done calligraphy...... go slow.
This may be a lesson you visit many times throughout the year.
Start with just a few letters. Try your initials.
There are many different lettering styles.
The alphabet below is very close to the printing style you learn when you first start writing.
It has some curves and flourishes that make it different.

Do the letters have the same slant? Are the openings of the letters the same?( o, a, b) Which letters are the toughest for you? Practice by writing the letter and rewriting it focusing on the most difficult parts. Take a look at the letters below. Which parts are consistent? Is the slant correct? |
