(Pen and brown ink with brush and brown, blue, red and yellow wash, over black and red chalk)
This drawing is from the early 17th century by Abraham Bloemaert. This very rustic cottage has a sweet softness to it. Artists have an amazing talent... When we can see and feel the gentleness of an inanimate object that is truly incredible. Art is more than a perfect picture... It is more about our response to the things around us. Have you ever seen a piece of art that you just loved? When I saw this picture I wanted to visit... and I love the gentleness of the cottage. This happens when I look through collections of art ... There is always one piece I love. The Peasants Cottage is my favorite from today's research. Tomorrow I will find one more that I love too.❤️

Hello!
It is time to get this school year started! Summer was fun but I am ready to get back to work! I am so excited! This year I have 2 new learning opportunities. The Art Library is a fantastic resource for homeschooling families. Each month we cover a new theme. Students can choose from resource sheets, videos, and projects to explore the different aspects of art. It is easy enough for a student that reads. I have included a few pages for the very young student to participate too. I love creating new learning opportunities. There is so much information and resources that I feel comfortable saying that this is the best deal you will see all year. ( https://www.hatacademy.org/art-library.html ) Homeschool Homeroom is my second adventure! We are going to learn even more with Homeschool Homeroom. Each week meet us in our creative online learning center. We will learn through games, videos, and live classes. It is the perfect addition to any homeschool. ( homeschoolhomeroom.com ) If you are new to homeschooling try Homeschooling 101. This class is for parents who want to start the year off with a good foundation. I made so many planning sheets and resources! ( https://hatacademy.teachable.com/p/homeschool-101 ) Here is to a brand new year of learning!! Ms. Jen |
