1. Sketchbook
Sketchbooks do not need to be perfect.
This is a place to brainstorm ideas and practice art skills.
Spend 10 minutes practicing one of the sketchbook tasks.
Spend time each week on your sketchbook.
Sketching every week will help improve your thinking and drawing skills.
2. Creative Thinking
Spend 10-20 minutes drawing.
If you don't finish complete it the next day.
These drawings will take more time.
Don't rush.
This is your chance to use your imagination and brainstorm.
Have fun making up outlandish ideas.
Use color to complete your drawing.
There will be questions to brainstorm.
Keep your brainstorming ideas in this section.
3. Journal Writing
Your journal is for you to write about your art.
It also will be where you describe the art process or how you made your art.
It may also include your thoughts on famous artists and artwork.
4. Art Notebook
This is for all your notes, vocabulary, and information regarding the basics of art.
5. Weekly Update Projects or Friday Projects
Each week check for a quick art project.
6. Weekly Projects
Painting, drawing, sculpture, clay, and calligraphy …. Start your portfolio!
7. Independent Art Project
A project of your choice. Find something you really like and start a collection. Collect pictures where yellow is a prominent color or things that are round. Maybe a rock collection? You will use this collection for an independent art project.
8. Portfolio
A portfolio showcases what you have learned and your progress.
